Chasing Sobriety

I find myself chasing sobriety
losing my soul to fit in society,
I know the role I play.
all the right things to say.

I seek comfort in a drugstore
the only medic that I adore.
Away from home I stroll,
To seek she that demands her toll.

Were she free to be with me,
I would have her near me.
But her price is steep,
Her happiness never cheap.

She takes me to this place,
the world unfolding in her face,
I’m ever so high loving this bliss,
ever since I got a taste of her lips
